Whether making a movie or going on tour, Will Ferrell is a good sport

Will Ferrell is so good at creating bombastic, bigger-than-life characters that it takes awhile to accept that he’s nothing like them.

Monday he was sitting in a director’s chair in the bowels of Bramlage Coliseum on the Kansas State campus wearing a gray K-State sweat shirt and black workout pants.

There was no sign of the chauvinistic, none-too-bright TV newsman Ron Burgundy from “Anchorman.” Or of middle-aged frat house party animal Frank Ricard from “Old School.” Or even of good ol’ boy race car driver Ricky Bobby from “Talladega Nights.”
