Tom Cruise takes pay cut for ‘Mission: Impossible 4’

So Tom Cruise may not have the same box-office power he once had. Considering how his latest film 'Knight and Day' performed at the box-office (not to mention his last two), the superstar is rethinking his career.

The word is that Cruise is taking a pay cut -- a drastic one, according to a breaking story: "He's going to be paid scale in order to get "Mission: Impossible 4."

And to show how little faith Paramount has in his star power, say the spitters, the studio is going to take on a financial partner in the form of Skydance Prods., the company run by David Ellison, son of Oracle founder Larry Ellison.
