Sarah Michelle Gellar may star in HBO show

Former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar may be lured back to television for a project at HBO.

Gellar, who has worked primarily in films since "Buffy" left the air in 2003, is attached to a half-hour pilot at the cable network called "The Wonderful Maladys," about three adult siblings in New York. Charles Randolph ("The Interpreter") is writing the show, Variety reports.

The show centers on the sometimes-messy lives of the three siblings, whose parents died when they were young and who have therefore relied on one another growing up. Randolph tells the trade paper he wrote the script with Gellar in mind and that her character has "a kind of zealous immaturity—like a drug addict with a to-do list."
