Michael Irvin’s Reality TV Show Offers Spot in Cowboys’ Camp

Former Dallas Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin is producing a reality television show in which 12 aspiring football players compete for a spot on the team’s training-camp roster.

Irvin’s as-yet unnamed show will air on the Spike network this year and feature six receivers and six defensive backs seeking a chance to play in the National Football League.

Former Cowboys players and coaches will work with the contestants and serve as judges, the network said in a statement, with owner Jerry Jones among the personalities set to appear on the show. Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple confirmed in an e-mail that the show’s winner would be granted a spot on the team’s 80-man training-camp roster.
