CollegeHumor.com laughs all the way to a TV series

 

Ricky Van Veen and Josh Abramson never expected they'd create a comedy brand when they began posting humorous photos and stories on the Internet as college freshmen.

But since its launch in 1999, Collegehumor.com has evolved into a go-to site for 6 million visitors monthly, a comedy tour, a T-shirt business, books and now a television series, MTV's The CollegeHumor Show. It premieres Sunday (9:30 p.m. ET/PT).

Beer, babes, parodies and sketches dominate the website, a favorite of men ages 18 to 22. Prank Wars, an escalating battle between Collegehumor.com writer Amir Blumenfeld and editor Streeter Seidell, have been especially popular.
