- Michelle Williams is in final negotiations to play Leonardo DiCaprio’s wife in Martin Scorsese’s mystery drama “Shutter Island” for Paramount. The actress also will join Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley in the film, adapted by Laeta Kalogridis from Dennis Lehane’s 2004 novel.
- Peter Jackson is set to reteam with his performance-capture muse Andy Serkis for DreamWorks’ trilogy “Tintin,” which is based on Georges Remi’s Belgian comic-strip. Pics will chronicle the adventures of Tintin, a junior reporter who will follow stories even though he often finds his own life in jeopardy.
- Emmy Rossum has booked the female lead in 20th Century Fox’s “Dragonball,” based on the popular Japanese manga. Justin Chatwin stars as Goku, a warrior who protects the Earth from a stream of rogues bent on dominating the universe. James Marsters plays the film’s villain, Lord Piccolo.
