Behind the scenes of ‘Land of the Lost’ – there’s lewd humor, Sleestaks

A massive soundstage on the Universal lot in Los Angeles, a surreal alternate land for the story about a zone where junk throughout space-time is dumped. Dinosaurs roam, lizard people creep among dilapidated temples, and giant insects attack. In real life, the main danger on the shoot was becoming the target of the stars' relentless teasing.

"It was fun to make it not aim too much at kids," says Will Ferrell, who points out that the 1974-77 series hasn't aged particularly well.
